About Ms. KarrieKarrie Korroch is a professional storyteller and a licensed Nia Technique Blue Belt Instructor. She has worked with young children for 29 years, primarily as an elementary school and special education teacher, a preschool teacher, and a children's librarian. Karrie began using a Reggio-Inspired Approach to early childhood education in her preschool classroom in California in 1994, when universities in the United States were just beginning to understand the beauty and depth of the, now well-known, educational approach developed in Reggio Emilia, Italy. In 2008, Karrie fulfilled a longtime dream of travelling to Reggio Emilia, where she spent a month studying with educators from all over the world. Karrie brings a unique sense of style and a highly creative approach to educational experiences. She thoroughly enjoys blending four of her greatest professional passions (movement, dance, storytelling, and child development) to enhance all types of learning. She is honored to work with young children and their families at play.
